
Thai Para Shooters Reign Supreme in ASEAN, Sweeping 10 Golds
At the 13th ASEAN Para Games, the Thai national para shooting squad asserted their dominance as the undisputed number one in the region. Combining precision and nerves of steel, they swept an impressive 10 gold medals at the home-hosted Games, delivering spectacular performances and bringing immense pride to Thai sports fans.

Atidet Intanon struck gold in the Men’s R7 50m Rifle 3 Positions SH1. Pawarit Suksa-ad claimed the Mixed P4 50m Pistol SH1 title. Anuson Chaichamnan secured gold in the Mixed R5 10m Air Rifle Prone SH2. Chutima Arunmat delivered a stellar performance, securing 2 gold medals in the R6 Mixed 50m Rifle Prone SH1 and Mixed 10m Air Rifle Prone SH1. Wannipa Leungvilai took gold in the Women’s R8 50m Rifle 3 Positions SH1, while Piya Cheayphom added another gold in the Men’s R3 Mixed 10m Air Rifle Prone SH1.
In the team events, the Mixed Team P6 10m Air Pistol SH1 has also yielded impressive results. Saknarin Boonsukveerawat and Penpitcha Thepprachum joined forces to capture gold for Thailand. Standing supreme in both individual and team categories, the squad’s total haul of 10 gold, 11 silver, and 6 bronze medals highlights the incredible composure, pinpoint accuracy, and systematic preparation of the Thai para shooters, who have consistently maintained their elite standards.
This success was cultivated under the support of the Sports Authority of Thailand, which continually advances athlete potential across the board—from specialized training and applied sports science to upgrading shooting ranges to meet international standards for major competitions. Following this outstanding showing, the Thai para shooting squad has not only cemented their supremacy in ASEAN but also sent a clear warning that they are fully primed for the Asian and global stages, backed by formidable standards and the resolute, systematic support of the SAT and all governing bodies.
